EXPANSION OF INITIALS IN THE NAMES OF CHILD OR PARENTS

In seeking a clarification on issue of birth certificate with expansion of initials in the names of child and parents it has been clarified that the expansion of name is also treated as a change in name and the existing provisions of rule 11 of Kerala Registration of Births and Deaths Rules,1999 do not permit the expansion of initials in the name of child and in the name of father and mother in the birth register and birth certificates.
