ISSUANCE OF CERTIFICATE IN BILINGUAL FORMS

While issuing certificates of events registered before the introduction of standardised formats, since no entry relating to present and permanent address exists inscribing NIL caused difficulty for applicants. Now the Office of The Registrar General of India has clarified that an entry that "the original records do not contain the column relating to present and permanent address"
shall be made in the remarks column of the certificate.
In the case of adopted children the permanent address and present address of adopted parents, who have adopted the child, may be written in the birth certificate format.
(letter No.1/2/kerala/2007-VS (CRS) Dated 26-10-2007 of RGI).
